FAQs
Did The Buzzard’s Roost Bar Close?
Yes, we’ve made the difficult decision to close The Buzzard’s Roost Bar. While we’ll miss serving you, rest assured there are plenty of great spots for food and drinks just a short walk away. You’ll find some of our favorite local recommendations listed in the guest guide provided in each room.
Do you have an elevator?
The short answer is—unfortunately, not. The old building’s infrastructure is not compatible with a modern passenger elevator. The expense would be mighty, and would require building a shaft onto the building. At this time, there is no safe route for people with accessibility accommodation to reach a proposed elevator shaft at the back of the building. For our full accessibility statement and more info, please look here.
Do you allow pets?
No pets are allowed but service dogs are permitted. Please just give us a heads up if you are bringing your service animal. *Any damages will be taken out of the pre-authorized damage deposit made at booking. For more information, feel free to email us.
Has anything changed about the inn since the Home Town episode aired?
The inn is largely the same, but since the episode was filmed years ago, you might find slight differences. We are always working to improve our guest experience.
How noisy is the inn?
We took extra precautions to insulate the Inn from noise in the best ways that we could. However, you can expect to hear some sounds from below during your stay.
Local restaurants frequently host live entertainment on the weekends.
The train runs a few times throughout the day/night. We haven’t had any formal complaints regarding the train (other than the comments that it is just…loud!).
Both of these things are part of the experience of staying at The Buzzard’s Roost.
So far, we have not had any guests that were greatly disturbed, and we have included white noice machines in every room to drown out any lingering noise that makes its way upstairs.
